
This recipe produces a loaf of gluten-free bread like a homemade loaf of wheat bread, in looks, smell, taste, and texture. You won't know it is gluten-free. One of the best we have made! This recipe works well in a Breadman® bread machine.
For cinnamon bread, try adding a teaspoon of cinnamon, an extra tablespoon of sugar, and a quarter cup raisins to the recipe below (mix in with dry ingredients). Makes a Great Morning Treat!
3 Cups Sans Gluten S'il Vous Plait all purpose flour blend
2 1/2 tsp Xanthan gum
1 1/2 tsp Salt
3 Tbs Sugar
1 1/2 tsp Egg Replacer
3 Eggs, room temp
1 Cup Water, warm
2/3 Cup Buttermilk, warm
4 Tbs Butter, melted
1 Tbs Dry Yeast
Combine the flour, xanthan gum, salt, sugar, and egg replacer in a large bowl.
In a seperate bowl, beat the eggs, then combine with the water, buttermilk, and butter.
Place the liquids, then flour mix into the baking pan of the bread machine. Make a small well in the flour, and add the dry yeast.
Set bread machine to the Super Rapid, 2 lb. loaf settings, and start machine.
Once bread has finished baking in the bread machine, remove and bake for another 20 minutes in a preheated 400 degree oven.
Let cool in pan for 10 minutes, remove, and finish cooling on a wire rack.
